Both Mallory Stirek and Anna Moore left The Club at Indian Creek unsatisfied with their scores Wednesday evening in Elkhorn.
Luckily, both Blair High School golfers knew they'd play the Bay Hills Golf Club course the next day.
“I always do good at Plattsmouth,” Moore said. “I say that every single year and I always do good. So, I'm hoping that sticks.”
It did.
Stirek claimed fifth and Moore was eighth Thursday as coach Ross Udey's Bears claimed fourth as a team. They tallied 440 strokes over 18 holes.
Stirek led the way with 97 swings, taking just 44 across the nine holes back in. Moore, meanwhile, shot a 100, finishing with 49 and 51 on the front and back nine.
In addition, Addie Stirek shot a 120 for BHS. Emma Wilson added a 123 and Carrie Truhlsen carded 133 swings.
The Bears finished second during Wednesday's triangular as well with 222 strokes — 47 more than Elkhorn North. Moore and Addie Stirek led Blair with 53s over nine holes, while Mallory Stirek shot a 55 and Wilson carded a 61.
In junior varsity play, Carrie Truhlsen and Mackenzie Storjohann shot 57s. Tessa Nicholson added a 65, Lillian Tiedgen carded a 66 and Anissa Hill added 67 strokes.
Emily Karmazin won the triangular for the host Wolves, taking 39 swings.
The Bears hosted a home tournament on Monday at River Wilds Golf Club and next compete Thursday at a Arlington-hosted triangular at Fremont Golf Club. Play begins at 4:30 p.m.
