The Blair High School varsity golf lineup is competing today during the Class B District 2 Tournament at Wayne Country Club.
With top-10 individual or top-3 team finishes, the Bears will advance to the NSAA Class B Boys Golf Championships at Scotts Bluff Country Club on May 24-25.
First, though, coach Ross Udey's team completed its regular season schedule last week. The junior varsity lineup played 18 holes at River Wilds Golf Club on April 11 before nine seniors played nine holes Thursday during a Wahoo triangular at Hilltop Country Club.
Luke Ladwig led the 12th-grade group, which finished third behind Gretna and the host Warriors. The Bear finished with 52 strokes, while Kalvin Lorenzen and Ryan Ray each carded 56. Adam Grote and Kyle Studanski finished with 57 swings apiece, too.
Blair's Nicky Rothlisberger shot a nine-hole 59, while Nick Wayman finished with 66 strokes. Trevin Barbre carded 69 swings and Alux Besta finished his round with 70.
