BHS girls win on the road
Ten Bears scored Tuesday as the Class B No. 9 Blair girls basketball team earned a 23-point Eastern Midlands Conference (EMC) victory at Lincoln Northwest.
The Bears led 25-8 through two periods and won 47-24, improving to 9-6 this season. The Falcons, meanwhile, dropped to 0-11 in defeat.
Senior Addie Sullivan led coach Matt Aschoff's BHS squad with 12 points, while freshman Cadence Field added 10 with three 3-point makes. Kate Wulf and Taytum Macholan added five apiece, too, while Hayden Frink-Mathis, Claire Anderson, Aftyn Sullivan, Madeline Chikos, Beau Wendt and Ally Sullivan combined for the other 15.
The Bears were scheduled to play Elkhorn North on Thursday and next compete 2 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Standing Bear.

Blair boys beat Lincoln Northwest
The Blair boys basketball improved to 7-7 Tuesday with a 55-46 road win at Lincoln Northwest.
The EMC win was the Bears second victory in a row after dropping to 6-8 on Jan. 23. Coach Chris Whitwer's team is 4-4 altogether in 2025.
BHS' Bo Meier, Brevin Leggott and Hayden Daggett all scored in double figures against the Falcons. Meier scored all 13 of his points during the first three quarters, while Leggott scored 13 with three 3-point makes. Daggett, however, scored 12 points off of the bench with buckets in each of the four periods.
Kalan Steinbeck added eight points for the Bears, too, including four during the fourth quarter, while Easton Bosanek had five with a 3-point make during the last 8 minutes of game time.
The Bears were set to play Elkhorn North on Thursday and next compete 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Standing Bear.
