The Blair volleyball team earned its first win against a team with a winning record Thursday, besting Omaha Christian Academy (OCA) 3-1 on the road.
The Bears' final match of the regular season schedule concluded with set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-17.
OCA spiked the ball outside the lines to end the match as BHS improved to 5-20. The home team, meanwhile, fell to 16-9.
“Defense was key tonight and Megan McKeon played awesome defense,” Blair coach Brandi Nicholson said. The junior is the Bears' libero.
Next, BHS opens its favorable subdistrict grouping at home tonight. The 6 p.m. match will come against the winner of the opener, a volleyball tilt between 2-18 South Sioux City and 3-17 Schuyler.
