Bears go 17-4 in tennis matches against Norris

BHS wins varsity dual 6-3

The Blair and Norris tennis teams played 21 total matches on four courts Monday at Stemmermann Park.
The Bears dominated, winning 17 of them.
BHS was 6-3 in varsity matches, 1-0 in an exhibition and 10-1 during junior varsity competition. To win the varsity dual, Addy Nilges, Maicy Lourens, Phoenixx Penke and Bailey Dingfield swept through Nos. 3-6 singles. Caitlynn Haggstrom and Anissa Delgado came up short at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but Nilges and Lourens won 8-2 Nos. 3 and 4 matches, Penke won 8-1 at No. 5 and Dingfield earned an 8-3 victory in her No. 6 matchup.
Lourens and Penke dropped their No. 1 doubles matchup against the Titans, but Nilges and Dingfield scored an 8-4 win at No. 2. Haggstrom and Delgado, meanwhile, teamed up for an 8-2 victory.
Blair seniors Delaney Dishman and Taeja Hipnar paired up for an 8-3 exhibition win as well.
After Thursday's matchup with Bennington, the varsity Bears next compete April 22 at Nebraska City.
