Blair Community Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday to discuss the COVID-19 reopening plan that was implemented for the 2021-22 school year.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the library at Deerfield Primary School, 1100 Deerfield Boulevard.

At the board's regular September meeting, it was requested that an ad hoc committee be appointed to review the effectiveness of the plan and to consider results from the parents' survey regarding COVID-19 mediation strategies. Any recommended modifications to the current plan will be presented at the special meeting.

According to the legal notice for the meeting, it is open to the public. However, there will be no public comments heard. Any changes made to the plan will be based on the parents' survey.

Last week, BCS had 14 COVID-19 positive students compared to 27 the previous week and 25 the week prior. As of Saturday, the district had 74 total cases for the year.
