Barbara Joan (Booton) Chrisman of Omaha was born on April 2, 1939, in Iowa City, IA and grew up in Blair, Ne. She married William A Chrisman III at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in 1960. She passed away on Feb. 12, 2025, in Omaha, Ne.
Barb attended Kountze faithfully until her passing. In addition to being very active in church, Barb volunteered at Children’s hospital for many years before working there in Outpatient Surgery. After retirement, she focused on her growing family and church activities, focusing heavily on the church pantry and baking cookies for everyone. She is remembered by all as a faithful, giving and selfless person.
She is preceded in death by husband, William A Chrisman III; parents Lois Soll, Darwin Soll and Charles Booton; brother Bill Booton, sister-in-law Helen Booton; sisters Joyce Hutchison and Janyce Ireland; nephews Steve Booton and Tim Booton, and daughter-in-law Laura Chrisman.
She is survived by her children Bradford Chrisman (Kass) and Amanda Bruckner; her grandchildren Emma Bruckner, Liam Bruckner, Brittany Moore (Tyler), Hannah Post (Erick), Abby Post (Noel), and Karlie Post (Isaiah); her great-grandchildren Hadley Moore, Brecken Post and Becklee Post, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves countless friends who were also family to her.
Memorials can be made to Kountze Memorial Pantry, Kountze Memorial Medical Clinic or Lutheran Family Services.
Her funeral has already occurred.
