State Troopers arrested a man in the Enterprise Media Group parking lot in Blair on Friday afternoon because of an outstanding warrant.
State Trooper Brett Evans told the Washington County Enterprise, which is owned by EMG, that he was called to the scene because another trooper, Seth Reighard, who ran the plates on the suspect’s car blew out his car radiator.
Law enforcement officials indicated that the plates on the suspect’s car allegedly showed that the man had a warrant out for his arrest, according to Evans. Law enforcement officials declined to identify the man.
“He had a traffic warrant, never paid it, never showed up to court, it was through Washington County so Reighard pulled him over,” Evans said.
After Reighard had called in the arrest, his car’s radiator blew out and he had to call for back up, Evans said.
Evans ended up taking the suspect to jail, and since Reighard was close to being done with his shift for the day, Reighard stayed behind and waited for a tow truck.
Evans said he believed the man with the warrant for his arrest was from Blair, and the warrant was through Washington County Court.
