Kate Miller scored a team-high nine points Wednesday, but the Arlington girls basketball team's offensive struggles continued during a 54-21 loss to Fairbury.
The defeat dropped the Eagles to 3-5 overall and 0-2 during Lincoln Lutheran's holiday tournament. AHS scored just five points during its opening round loss to the hosts less than 24 hours before Wednesday's third-place game.
Coach Luke Brenn said Arlington struggled shooting and rebounding against the Jeffs, while it also made bad decisions.
Four of Miller's nine points came from the foul line. The rest came on two baskets, including a second-period 3-pointer.
Britt Nielsen was the Eagles' second-leading scorer with three points. Hailey Brenn, Hailey O'Daniel, Taylor Arp and Callee Shearer each scored two, while Brooke Hilgenkamp made a free throw.
Karly McCord led 4-5 Fairbury with 12 points.
Arlington next plays 6 p.m. today at home against Wisner-Pilger.
