The Arlington girls basketball team fell to 1-1 in Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament play Monday with a 55-14 loss at top-seeded Syracuse.
Coach Luke Brenn's Eagles beat Fort Calhoun in their first tourney game, but struggled to score with the Rockets in their second. The loss dropped AHS' record to 4-12.
Arlington trailed 17-3 after one quarter and 30-7 at halftime. Kate Miller led the Eagles with five points, while Syracuse's Lily Vollertsen scored more points than the entire AHS team — 15.
