BHS wins Missouri Valley dual, too

Five Blair wrestlers won their weight classes Saturday as the Bears finished as the Schuyler Invite runner-up.
Bennington bested the BHS lineup 236.5-191, but Jesse Loges, Charlie Powers, Yoan Camejo, Braden Hanson and Dex Larsen won their brackets for coach Erich Warner.
Larsen — the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler award recipient — Powers and Camejo went 3-0, while Loges and Hanson were 2-0 to claim their first-place finishes.
Lance Hume (second), Gabe Gaskill (second), Dylan Berg (second), Luke Frost (fourth) and Dane Larsen (fifth) also placed as the Bears scored 30 more team points than third-place Columbus Lakeview.
Camejo, Hume, Dex Larsen, Powers and Berg notched two pins apiece, while Gaskill and Dane Larsen had one each during the event.

The BHS wrestling team also earned a 41-33 dual win Thursday at Missouri Valley, Iowa.
The Bears won eight of the 13 contested weight classes with Gaskill, Dex Larsen, Tyson Brown, Karter Scott and Camejo notching pins. Powers added a 17-2 technical fall at 145 pounds, while Berg and Hanson claimed decisions at 160 and 182 pounds.
The victory pushed BHS' dual record to 26-4.
