Three Arlington Eagles have joined the Fremont Tigers swim team this season as apart of the schools' co-op in the sport.
Those three Eagles — senior Josh Iossi, sophomore Cade Arnett and freshman Elisabeth Meyer — helped fortify first-year head coach David Struble's lineup Dec. 3 during the Tigers' first dual against Columbus.
The FHS girls topped the Discoverers 100-56, while the boys won 76-65.
Meyer was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team with Lucy Dillon, Charlotte Vech and Karsen Jesen, helping the squad to a first-place finish in 1:48.9.
Iossi, meanwhile, was first in the individual 100 freestyle, third in the 50 freestyle and teamed up with Arnett, Gabe Christ and Devin Mark to claim second in the 200 free relay.
In addition to his relay work, Arnett also earned second in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 50.
Former Arlington student Addie Schiemann was on the Tigers' 200-yard medley relay winning team with Lizzie Meyer, Dillon and Jesse as well.
Fremont's season continued last Tuesday with a home dual against Norfolk and moves forward with next Tuesday's competition at Millard South. Against the Panthers, Meyer's 200 medley relay earned first in 1:59.96 before Arnett's took third in the same boys event.
Iossi and Arnett then went second and third in the 200 freestyle, respectively. Meyer was second in the 200-yard as well.
