It’s pretty amazing how fast the months go by.
As I put this Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week entry together, I’m thinking about Monday — the first day of the postseason.
We’ve got district golf and subdistrict softball starting with only a few more weeks to celebrate athletes in this fall season’s sports.
So, let’s not waste any more time.
Here’s this week’s honorees.

Lizzie Meyer, Arlington volleyball: Coach Stacy Nelson said this AHS Eagle was key to her team’s defensive play against Omaha Westview. The effort helped her team to its first win of the fall. Meyer had 18 digs and five kills.

Ely Olberding, Fort Calhoun cross-country: The Pioneers have one of the best lineups in the state and Olberding led it during their David City Aquinas Invite win. He was second, finishing a 5-kilometer run in 17:15.92.

Mallory Stirek, Blair golf: The senior finished third at the Eastern Midlands Conference Tournament in Omaha, carding a season-low 82 strokes. She followed up that showing with a tournament win at Oakland Golf Club on Saturday.

Look for our Washington County Athlete of the Week video interview on Wednesday, as always.
