First off, apologies for the Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week delay. I was out of town for a couple of days and had to do some research to make my picks.

What I found, though, was plenty of Washington County athletes to choose from. Here’s how it came down to Lance Olberding, Jane Busboom and Kelise Krivohlavek.

Lance Olberding, Fort Calhoun wrestling: I’ve developed a habit of picking certain Athletes of the Week two weeks in a row. Olberding, a senior, built on his prior success and set a school record in career nearfalls this past week. On top of that, he earned his 150th career victory, too.

Jane Busboom, Fremont swimming: The Blair High School Tiger earned second in the 100-yard backstroke and third in the 50 freestyle during the highly-competitive Cotter Lincoln High Invite. She also claimed a pair of second-place relays with her teammates.

Kelise Krivohlavek, Arlington wrestling: The 125-pound Eagle won at home. She earned four pins, including two that took less than 60 seconds.

Thanks for reading everyone. If I look lost this week, it’s because my zero-to-60 mph time off of vacation is pretty, pretty slow.
