After a one-week break, the Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week feature returns to recognize the efforts of Emme Timm, Kaitlyn Johnson and Ely Olberding.

Timm and Johnson put up points in holiday tournament basketball games, while Olberding hit a landmark victory on the wrestling mat. It was a good end to 2022 for Washington County athletes.

Here’s a few more details.

Emme Timm, Arlington basketball: The freshman point guard went from her holiday break straight into a 21-point effort as the Eagles won their first game of the Lincoln Lutheran holiday tourney. The scoring total was a new career-high.

Kaitlyn Johnson, Blair basketball: The senior point guard had her own fast start to the second half of the season. She knocked down three 3-pointers during the first 4 minutes of the Bears’ win against Omaha Gross, finishing with 19 points total.

Ely Olberding, Fort Calhoun wrestling: This marks two-straight Athlete of the Week honors for the senior Pioneer. The 138-pounder picked up his 150th career win at Omaha Creighton Prep. He then earned a spot at the top of the podium with his 153rd.
