It’s going to be a busy Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week week.
Due to some scheduling complications, last week’s overall Washington County winner — Josie Biffar — did not appear in a video interview last Wednesday. I hope to rectify that this week.
But, no, that’s not all.
AJ Duros, Hudson Loges and Trent Koger are up for the same opportunity this week for their athletic performances during last. They are their schools’ Athletes of Week. Please, let me explain why.

AJ Duros, Fort Calhoun wrestling: The 145-pounder swept through his weight class matches Saturday to win his home bracket. He was 3-0, starting his day with a quick pin.

Hudson Loges, Blair wrestling: The 106-pounder started the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic as the No. 1 seed and ended it atop the podium. He went 7-0 against some of the region’s top talent, starting with a technical fall Friday and ending his tourney run with a 7-1 decision Saturday.

Trent Koger, Arlington basketball: The sophomore Eagle scored 38 points across two games as his team went 1-1. He had a career-best 24 in a loss to Yutan, but also scored 14 to help his squad beat Omaha Brownell-Talbot.

As always, I appreciate the time you’ve put into reading what I’ve wrote. Share a little bit more time to congratulate these kids when you see them, too, please. That's all I hope this write-up encourages.
