What a school year it’s been for the Nannen & Harte Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week feature.
We’ve recognized a lot of great athletes and celebrated so many fine accomplishments. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
Our final honorees of the 2022-23 school year are Hailey O’Daniel, Ethan Baessler and Kaylee Taylor.

Hailey O’Daniel, Arlington track: The Eagle claimed a state medal to cap her sophomore season, earning fifth in the 1,600-meter run. She finished the race in 5:16.28 — her new personal best.

Ethan Baessler, Blair track: The junior medaled at state four times, winning both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. His times were 10.53 — a new Class B and state meet record — and 21.6 seconds as the Bears earned second in the state as a team.

Kaylee Taylor, Fort Calhoun track: The two-time state qualifying sophomore earned the Pioneers’ top state finish in Omaha. She was 12th in the triple jump, clearing 33 feet, 7.75 inches.
