4 BHS football players make 1st team

Twelve total Blair High School football players were recently recognized with the release of the Class B-1 All-District team.
Four of those 12 Bears earned first-team designations.
Senior linebacker Kaden Sears — who also scored a rushing touchdown on offense — led 5-5 BHS this fall with 77 total tackles. Thirty-two of those stops were solo tackles, while 12.5 were for a loss of yardage.
Juniors Bode Soukup and J'Shawn Unger worked together for their first-team inclusions. Soukup, the Bears' quarterback, completed 61 percent of his 223 passes for 1,615 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Unger caught 40 throws for 561 yards and six scores.
Unger also made 13 tackles and intercepted a pass defensively.
Sophomore back Brock Templar, meanwhile, ran for a team-best 558 yards and five scores. He averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
Eight more Bears were B-1 honorable mention picks. Juniors Brady Brown, Braden McGill, Triston Clausen, Ethan Baessler, Ben Holcomb and Crayton Macholan were recognized, as were seniors Dane Larsen (419 all-purpose yards and 64 tackles) and Seagan Packett-Trisdale (23 total tackles).
