One new member and three incumbents who won re-election were sworn in Tuesday during the Blair City Council meeting.
Andrew Schank, who defeated Robert Pearson in Ward 2; Chris Jensen, Ward 1; Mindy Rump, Ward 3; and Marty Shepard, Ward 4, were sworn in.
Jensen was also elected president of the council. He was the only council member to receive a nomination.
Mayor Rich Hansen appointed Schank to serve on the technology and miscellaneous utilities and judiciary and real estate committees.
The council also designated Washington County Bank and Two Rivers Bank as depositories for city funds and the Washington County Pilot-Tribune and Enterprise as the official newspaper for the City of Blair.
