Crews remove enclosures protecting auxiliary pumps on the Missouri River in Blair on Dec. 28. The pumps were removed because of rising river levels from an ice jam, which can be seen in the background. The pumps will be replaced for standby use in case the ice jam south of Blair lets up and water levels once again require auxiliary pumping.
