As the school year rapidly comes to an end, the Fort Calhoun High School Instrumental Music Department has four final concerts to share with the community.
First will be the Junior High Band Spring Concert. It will take place on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at the high school.
The Fort Calhoun Senior High Concert Band will present their final concert of the season on Tuesday, April 30. The program will include their contest selection "Fourth Suite" by Alfred Reed.
End of the year awards will also be presented. The program begins at 7:30 p.m.
The fifth and sixth grade classes will share their accomplishments for the season on Thursday evening, May 2, starting at 7 p.m.
The final instrumental concert of the year will be the Jazz Concert on Tuesday, May 9. This program will feature both the Senior High Varsity Jazz Band and the Junior High Jazz Band. A number of selections will be presented by both groups. This program will begin at 7:30 p.m.
All of the concerts will be presented at the high school gym and will be free of charge. The general public is cordially invited to come and enjoy these fine groups as the students display their talents and the results of their hard work the past several months.
