Horizon Rehabilitation Centers in Blair and Omaha will become Rock Valley Physical Therapy on Sept. 1 following an ownership transition announced Monday.
The Blair clinic is located at 1255 S. Blair St. The Omaha clinic is located at 8642 F St.
According to the announcement, Horizon founders Troy and Tammy Roehrs and the Horizon staff will remain with the organization following the transition.
“When Tammy and I discussed our succession plan, we wanted an interested party that held similar core values – not only in patient treatment but also in how we wanted our employees to be treated – which Tammy and I tried to follow over the course of 26-plus years of private practice,” Troy Roehrs said.
Roehrs said he and Tammy Roehrs will continue working with patients after the transition.
“Tammy and I are looking forward to focusing more on the care we give to our patients and less on running a business,” Roehrs said. “We're excited to learn from the therapists and leaders of Rock Valley to continually improve upon the services we offer to our patients in both Blair and Omaha.”
Roehrs said patients should not expect major changes in their care.
“We are grateful for the community support given to Horizon Rehabilitation Centers over the past 26 years and are excited about what Rock Valley can add to Blair and the Washington County area in terms of rehab services,” Roehrs said. “Expect the same great care and people that have provided you care these past years, just a different name.”
Rock Valley Physical Therapy Chief Executive Officer Mike Horsfield said the company was honored to continue the work established by Horizon.
“We are so excited for the opportunity to work alongside Tammy, Troy and their team and honored they have entrusted us to carry their legacy forward,” Horsfield said.
