Yutan earned its fourth-straight Nebraska Capitol Conference Golf Tournament title Friday at Syracuse Country Club.
The Chieftains finished with 305 strokes, while coach Dustin Humphrey's Fort Calhoun Pioneers and Landon Walkenhorst's Arlington Eagles concluded 18 holes with 385 and 386, respectively.
Senior Owen Miller — a Hastings College recruit — led sixth-place FCHS, finishing with 88 strokes. Adam Elofson, meanwhile, bounced back from a 115-stroke outing in Hooper earlier in the week to finish with just 92 swings in Syracuse.
“He had a good day,” Humphrey said of the sophomore.
The Pioneers' Jayden Miller broke 100, too, carding 99 strokes as Caden Newman finished with 106. Beau Ruma added 118 as well.
Jacob Meehan, however, led all Washington County golfers with 83 strokes for seventh-place AHS. The senior finished just shy of placing.
The Eagles' Josh Hamre shot an 84, too, while Ben Stork finished with 102 swings. Johnathan Taylor added 117 and Nate Erwin shot an 18-hole 147, too.
Arlington was set to play at a Fremont Golf Club quadrangular on Monday and next competes Thursday during the Tekamah-Herman Invitational. The Pioneers are expected to be in attendance at Northridge Country Club as well.
