Jay Stoa III is one of Midland University's newest Warriors.
The Fort Calhoun High School senior celebrated signing with the Fremont school's cross-country and track programs Friday morning. He was joined by his Pioneer coaches, Jim Meyer, Kyle and Rebecca McMahon, as well as his family and teammates for the celebration.
Stoa III has long contributed to the cross-country and track and field programs, most recently claiming a team point with a sixth-place finish during the 3,200-meter run at Louisville. He also helped Calhoun earn first at the Logan View Invite this season, earning fourth in the same race.
Stoa III, notably, claimed homecoming king honors last fall, and has made multiple appearances on his school's honor roll as well.
