Blair High School seniors Peyton Ogle and Crayton Macholan celebrated their college sports signing April 17.
Ogle will join Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, to play volleyball next fall, while Macholan is set to play college basketball at Doane University in Crete. With the pair's commitments, Enterprise Media Group is now aware of 25 overall BHS college athletics signings this school year.

Ogle picks Beavers
Ogle contributed for four Blair volleyball seasons before signing with the Beavers.
As a senior, the Bear finished third in kills with 156 and first in total blocks with 35, according to maxpreps.com. She claimed Class B All-State honorable mention from the Omaha World-Herald this past fall and secured a Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Award for her work in the classroom.
Ogle joins Buena Vista after coach Will Baumann's team finished 6-18 last season, competing in NCAA Division III's American Rivers Conference.
The Beavers played Nebraska Wesleyan during the 2023 campaign with three Nebraskans on their roster — Skylar Needham of Omaha Roncalli, Hailey Darrah of Palmyra and Fremont graduate Jessa Seely.

Doane signs Macholan
Macholan broke through with his finest high school basketball season as a senior.
The Blair Bear, who's currently a member of the soccer team, averaged 12.5 points per game, 6.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists to go with 2.4 steals defensively. He shot 49 percent from the field and made 16 3-pointers, too.
Like Ogle, Macholan claimed NCPA academic honors, while also securing Class B all-state honorable mention from the World-Herald and All-Eastern Midlands Conference recognition.
The soon-to-be graduate joins the Doane Tigers after the most-recent 7-21 season under the direction of head coach Ian McKeithen. The NAIA program competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
The Tigers' 2023-2024 roster included athletes Macholan played against in high school, including Elkhorn North's Brandon Orgilbold and Waverly's Preston Harms.
Blair student athletes who've signed prior to April 17 this past school year are: Ethan Baessler (South Dakota track), Reese Beemer (South Dakota State track), Brady Brown (South Dakota State baseball), Leah Chance (Wayne State softball), Allie Czapla (Wayne State cross-country/track), Reece Ewoldt (UNK cross-country/track), Greta Galbraith (UNK track), Anissa Hill (Iowa Western CC shotgun sports), Ben Holcomb (Northwest Missouri State football), Tanner Jacobson (Could County CC baseball), Braden McGill (Wayne State track), Nessa McMillen (Nebraska softball), Joslyn Policky (Southwest CC softball), Savanah Roan (Southeast CC volleyball), Bria Scott (Peru State softball), Bode Soukup (Nebraska football), Dylan Swanson (Doane baseball), Kalli Ulven (UNK softball), Gavin Ulrich (Wayne State football), J'Shawn Unger (Nebraska baseball), Nate Wachter (South Dakota State baseball), Hayden White (Iowa Western CC shotgun sports) and Sophia Wrich (Iowa Western CC softball).
