Omrianna Fighter

An Omaha woman who absconded from District 6 Drug Court more than two years ago will be sentenced on two counts of drug possession.

Omrianna Fighter, 33, was terminated from drug court Tuesday by Judge John E. Samson during proceedings in Washington County District Court.

Fighter had pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony, in April 2016 and was accepted into the drug court program. A warrant was issued for her arrest Aug. 12, 2016, after she failed to appear for court and drug testing.

Fighter admitted to the violations. She could face up to two years in prison, nine to 12 months post-release supervision and up to a $10,000 fine for each charge. Sentencing is set for March 11.

Fighter was arrested in January 2016 following a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 75 after deputies found drugs and weapons in a vehicle.
