Scheels Playground donation

Students and staff wearing their Scheels shirts join Brett Morgan of Scheels in Omaha, for the check presentation.

To the cheers of elementary students and staff, Brett Morgan, a representative from the Omaha Scheels store in Omaha, presented a $47,000 check to Arlington Supt. Lynn Johnson and Elementary Principal Jacque Morgan on Friday morning.

The money was part of a grant awarded to Arlington Elementary School to assist with improvements recently made to the school's north playground.

"We wouldn't be able to do some of the things that we have done on the playground, and we are going to continue to do on the big playground next year, if it wasn't for partners like Scheels and for Mrs. Morgan who took time to write a grant that got us this money," Johnson said.
