The Washington County Sheriff's Office investigates a one-vehicle accident along 14th Street in Fort Calhoun on March 26.

A 22-year old Fort Calhoun woman was transported by Fort Calhoun Rescue to a CHI Health March 26 following a one-vehicle accident along South 14th Street.

Washington County Sheriff's Office Capt. Aaron Brensel said, according to the report, Delainey Bell, was traveling northbound on 14th St. coming into Fort Calhoun around 7:30 p.m. when she hit the curb on the east side of the street, near Madison Street. Her vehicle then continued through the crosswalk onto the curb going northbound toward Court Street, then hit a speed limit sign on the curb. The vehicle then left the curb, Brensen said, continued north back into the lane, then crossed the southbound land and struck a curb where it came to a rest in the grass near the southbound lane.

Brensel said it is unknown at this time if any medical conditions caused the crash. Bell was wearing her seatbelt. The airbags did not deploy. No citations were issued.
