An Omaha woman who was found in possession of methamphetamine was sentenced to probation Tuesday in Washington County District Court.

Adrianne E. Mott, 36, pleaded guilty Feb. 26 to attempted possession of a controlled substance, a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Judge John E. Samson sentenced Mott to two years probation.

Mott was arrested Aug. 6.

According to court records, Washington County sheriff's deputies had a consensual encounter with Mott at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the sheriff's office. Mott voluntarily consented for deputies to search her, her purse and her car for controlled substances and weapons.

A deputy discovered a small, clear bag of a white crystal substance, which tested positive for meth, in Mott's purse.
