Arlington Rescue members assisted with a medical helicopter's emergency landing late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

According to preliminary information from Capt. Aaron Brensel of the Washington County Sheriff's Office, a Fremont medical helicopter was transporting a patient, possibly from Norfolk, back to Fremont. At around midnight, helicopter personnel began smelling electrical burning. The helicopter then made an emergency landing on the Arlington High School football field.

A second medical helicopter was called to transfer the patient and finish the flight to Fremont. Arlington fire and rescue members assisted with the transfer.

No information about the patient was readily known.
