The Washington County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the bids for two road projects during its regular meeting Tuesday.

The Arlington North Project, which will replace a bridge on County Road 28 just west of County Road 11, received seven bids ranging in price from $801,072 to $996,767.

The engineer's estimate was $836,358.

JJK Construction of Ceresco was awarded the low bid of $801,072. The estimated start date is July with a completion date in December.

The reconstruction of a dam along County Road P32 received two bids.

M.E. Collins Contracting of Wahoo was awarded the bid. The company's bid of $236,124 came in under the engineer's estimate of $293,487. The expected start date is August with a completion in November.

During construction, CR P32 will be down to one lane.

An excess amount of rain and groundwater last fall caused the back portion of the dam to fail, which led to erosion.
