The Blair Post 154 Senior Legion baseball team led from the start Saturday during their opener, but put the game away late.

The Bears scored two first-inning runs, but also nine in the fifth of the 14-2 season-opening road win at Hooper-Scribner. Coach James Bilslend's squad outhit their foes 11-5.

AJ Bilslend led Blair with four RBIs, while Jacob Rodriguez had three. Auggie Rasmussen, Colin Quick, Jake MacDonald and Ben Aguilera each added one RBI.

Jason Stewart earned the Post 154 pitching win with seven strikeouts. Matt Dreher threw the fifth and final inning, striking out all three batters he faced.
