Smiles and pancakes with Smokey

Robbie, Keelee and Bailee Andersen pose for a photo with Smokey the Bear at the Blair Volunteer Fire Department's 42nd annual Pancake Feed on Sunday. Grandpa Scott Andersen takes the photo while grandma Lisa Andersen coaxes a smile from Bailee, 7 months. Fire department pancake feeds in Washington County are a tradition for the Andersens, who have attended as a family since Robbie was a boy growing up in Blair. Scott and Lisa live in rural Blair. Robbie, Keelee and Bailey now live in Omaha. Besides plenty of delicious pancakes and sausage, the fire department demonstrated equipment such as the Jaws of Life, and a LifeNet helicopter and crew were on hand.
