Jennifer Bradley and Jen Hart, Nebraska directors for the Mrs. America Pageant, are announcing that the search is on for the new Mrs. Blair.

Once selected, the community representative will then advance on to compete in the Mrs. Nebraska Pageant Nov. 15 at the Scottish Rite Center in downtown Omaha.

City and county titleholders will compete to win more than $10,000 in prizes, one of which includes an all-expenses-paid trip to the national Mrs. America Pageant.

Interested applicants must live or work in the Blair area, must be married during the time of competition, a resident of the state for at least six months, a U.S. citizen and be at least 18 years old. There is no age limit or performing talent.

In its 38th year, the Mrs. America Pageant is the only pageant system for married women that advances on to an international competition — the Mrs. World Pageant. While beauty and physical fitness are key elements in the competition, Mrs. Nebraska contestants are also urged to voice their opinions on marriage, community and important issues of the day.

Applicants are invited to find out more about the competition at or can request and receive free entry information by contacting Bradley at the Mrs. Nebraska office at 402-253-4687.
