Blair Lion Marilyn Epperson was awarded the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation from Don Hieb, Lions Club past district governor, at the club’s meeting on July 15.

The award is in recognition of distinguished achievements in fulfilling the mission of Lions Clubs International and was signed by Past International President Wayne A. Madden.

Lions Clubs International has 1.35 million members in 45,000 clubs worldwide in some 208 countries and is the largest service club in the world.

Its most important goal is to rid the world of preventable blindness.

Epperson has served as past president of the Blair Lions Club and is presently co-chair for Nebraska’s District 38-0 Global Leadership Team.

The Blair Lions Club has served the Blair community since 1941 and welcomes prospective new members to share in “our journey to serve”.
