A two-week investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) has led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Blair man on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault of a child, according to a NSP news release.
Around 11 a.m., Friday, July 26, NSP investigators took Trevor A. Wilwerding, 22, into custody without incident near his residence in Blair. NSP investigators, with the assistance of the Blair Police Department, also served a search warrant at his residence at 2066 Front St. The arrest follows an investigation into sexual activity that occurred over the past several months involving Wilwerding and a 15-year-old female.
Wilwerding is held in the Washington County Jail on no bond and the investigation continues. Investigators believe there may be other victims associated with Wilwerding. Anyone with information should contact the Nebraska State Patrol at 402-331-3333.
