City of Blair wins 'Best Water'

The City of Blair has earned the American Water Works Association Nebraska's 2016 Best Tasting Water-Treated award.

Metropolitan Utilities District won the “Treated” title in 2015; Fremont or the Lincoln Water System won it every other year since 2009.

“The guys at the water plant try really hard to make sure we have good-tasting water,” Blair Mayor Jim Realph, left, said as he officially presented the trophy to Al Schoemaker, director of public works, during the city council meeting Nov. 8.
