An accident near the Blair airport has shut down a portion of Highway 133 near County Road P38.

A dump truck and a Nebraska State Patrol car collided, causing major damage to the patrol car. The accident happened around 1:45 Friday afternoon.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Department, the trooper was transported from the scene with non-life threatening injuries. The sheriff's department expected the road to be closed for a few hours.

An officer on the scene said the dump truck was headed south on Highway 133 and appeared to turn left onto CR P38 in front of the trooper, who was headed north on 133.
