Blind Date

Books wrapped in plain paper at the Missouri Valley Public Library are part of the library’s “Blind Date” promotion in February.

Adults seeking respite from winter doldrums may take advantage of a fun February event at the Missouri Valley Public Library.

A book, disguised in plain paper wrapping, may be selected from the “Blind Date” display.  The patron takes the book home and unwraps it to discover what reading adventure is in store.

Completing a quick “Rate Your Date” card enters the reader in a drawing for a gift basket, the winner to be announced early in March.  Date ratings include:  True Love (great book), Just Friends (Okay story), Never Again (Terrible tale).

“The Blind Date With a Book” affair will continue through February.
