It always fills me with pride when I talk to people about the Iowa Farm Bureau and the good it does for everyone who lives in this great state of Iowa.
Crawford County Farm Bureau members have put their trust in me to lead our county organization for the good of all those who live and work in Crawford County. I take that position seriously and would like to share with you some of the things we do.
We are a not-for-profit grassroots advocacy organization. So, what does grassroots mean? We gather input from our members, prioritize those issues, and then submit them to the state organization for debate and approval.
Once approved, those issues become Farm Bureau policy. Those policies become our voice for state and national legislation through our state lobbyists. The “grassroots” ideas start with every member.
Crawford County Farm Bureau helps with our county fair, the TAP program, Ag in the Classroom, teacher workshops, scholarships, marketing workshops, and farm safety programs. We sponsor those attending the young farmer’s conference and partner with the animal shelter for adoptions and other programs to benefit everyone in Crawford County.
A Farm Bureau membership includes discounts and other benefits that offer value to our citizens in all walks of life. For a full list of benefits go to www.iowafarmbureau.com and look under the benefits tab.
Becoming a member is a simple, yet powerful way to put your support squarely behind the wholesome farm families who produce your food, fuel, and fiber.
We would be happy to welcome you into our Farm Bureau family. Joining is easy. For more information, or to sign up for membership, just contact Lynn Ross at the Crawford County Farm Bureau office in Denison at 712-263-3157 or visit www.iowafarmbureau.com and click the “Join” button.
