Pizza Party Rewards Girl Scouts Service

Blair Washington County Girl Scouts held a pizza party to honor the girls who had helped others in the community during the past year. The girls got the opportunity to celebrate all the work they have done to help their community throughout the year. This year 48 girls qualified to attend the pizza party.

In order to qualify for the pizza party, Girl Scouts had to work a minimum of three of the six community service events that were held throughout the year. The events included: Supermarket Saturday, working at the recycling center, making table decorations for nursing homes, playing Bingo and making Christmas cards at Good Shepherd, bringing items for the Animal Shelter at the Movie Kick-off Party, and participating in the Father/Daughter Cake Decorating competition which raised money for Habitat for Humanity and the Blair Animal Shelter.

Nine girls worked five of the six events. Those members included: Genevie Jensen, Arianna Jensen, Claire Rasmussen, Evyn Skinner, Jilliann Schueler, Lucy Lindau, Katie Casto, Jadyn Smithson, and Becca Grabowski. One girl attended all six events. That girl was Natalya Jensen. These girls were honored with certificates for their dedication throughout the year.
