So THAT''S why they allowed bars to stay open until 2 p.m.
I understand why they're doing it but I don't like it.
Just another reason not to go to Omaha.
Thank goodness there's no tax on groceries.

Blair High Homecoming hopefuls
JOE BURNS/PILOT-TRIBUNE Blair High School will crown its 2010 Homecoming king and queen in a ceremony at the school on Saturday, Sept. 11. Queen candidates are, front row, from left: Sydney Lawton, Presley Glaser, Megan Throener, Katelyn Rutcosky, Claire Svoboda and Adeline Anderson. King candidates are, back row: Brian Hall, Sean Wade, Jacob Lock, Patrick Dutton, Ryan Randall and Thomas Moss. The king and queen are chosen by a vote of BHS students.

Walmart permit nearly ready, city officials say
The city of Blair should be ready this week to issue a building permit for the new Walmart, as soon as the world's largest retailer selects a contractor and pays the permit fee.

Real-life 'calendar girls' raise money to fight cancer
In the 2003 film, "Calendar Girls," a group of English women agree to pose nude to raise funds for a local hospital.

Fast forward to August 2010, when "Project Pink'd" unveiled "Exposed: Real Women for a Real Cure" calendar at a grand event at Joslyn Castle in Omaha.

Amongst the lovely ladies daring to bare it for the cause are Malinda Jepsen of Blair, her niece, Theese Weber of Firth, and Jepsen's aunt, Teda Meints of Cortland.
