Science Cafe, hosted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is a face-to-face conversation with a scientist about current science topics. John P. McCarty, Professor of Biology and Director of Environmental Studies, and L. LaReesa Wolfenbarger, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Biology, at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) will discuss Great Plains bird conservation. Together, they founded and run the Laboratory of Avian Ecology at UNO and collaborated on research for Richard Ibghy and Marilou Lemmens: Look, it’s daybreak, dear, time to sing, on view at Bemis through February 15. A Q&A will follow. Pizza will be provided by the Nebraska Coalition for Lifesaving Cures for the first 50 people. Free and open to ages 21 and over.
