Glen G. “Andy” Anderson was born March 29, 1929, at Tekamah, Nebraska, to William Clifton and Beulah (Morgan) Anderson. He passed away Monday, August 13, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, at the age of 83 years.
Glen attended public school in Tekamah graduating from Tekamah High School in 1947. He married Nadine Oltjenbruns on July 20, 1952, at Oakland, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Oakland, Tekamah, Ewing and Laurel, Nebraska, where they spent most of their years. To this union three children were born: Gregg, Mark and Julie.
During the Korean War, Glen served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1950 to September 1954. He was a 50-year member of the Laurel and Tekamah VFW, a 25-year member of the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, and served on several boards including school and church. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Laurel and the United Methodist Church in Tekamah. He enjoyed watching his grandkids activities.
Glen worked for Moorman’s Feed for 27 years as a Salesman and District Manager. Upon his retirement he became a daily golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadine, and brother, Carroll “Andy”.
Survivors include his sons, Gregg (DJ) Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska, Mark (Tracy) Anderson of Randolph, Nebraska; daughter, Julie Anderson of Lincoln, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen (Mrs. Carroll) Anderson of Wichita, KS; niece and nephew and special friend, partner and golfing buddy, Donna Mock of Tekamah, Nebraska.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, August 16, 2012, 10:30 a.m., United Methodist Church, Tekamah, Rev. Philip Sloat, officiating.

VISITATION: Wednesday, August 15, 2012, 5-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation Thursday will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
